Milan is linked to a lot of players since the takeover. Milan now has the funds to buy great and promising players again. The defense is already strengthened with Musacchio and Rodríguez, the midfield with Kessié and the attack with André Silva. We aren’t done yet as we still need a replacement for Donnarumma if he really leaves, a creative midfielder and a top striker.

The most rumored names after we already tied down 4 players are Neto and Perin as a replacement for Donnarumma, Fàbregas and James Rodríguez for the midfield and Belotti, Aubemeyang and Diego Costa for the striker position.

If these players turn out to be too difficult to sign we need to look at alternatives. For the goal I would suggest we give Plizzari a change and invest the money we save by using him in a creative midfielder and a top striker.

For the midfield I would go for Pastore, because he has every characteristic we need for the midfield, he has played in Italy before and he would link up great with the other Argentine players Milan has. He has a great technique, he can dribble past defenders which creates spaces for other player and he is able to assist and score. His only downfalls are  that he is injury prone and can’t defend like a De Rossi for example, however with Bonaventura as a left midfielder and a great Regista behind them our midfield will be world class again. Other players that can fill this role could be Pizzi from Benfica or Baselli from Torino.

For the striker position Belotti would be ideal, however a deal might be impossible as Torino want 100m for him. A much cheaper alternative would be Ibrahimović as he is a free agent or Balotelli who has one year left on his contract after signing a contract extension with Nice yesterday. Bringing Balotelli back for the third time seems crazy as his previous campaign at the club wasn’t a success. However, he has proven himself useful at Nice and his qualities aren’t for debate. He is still relatively young and would be a great stand in for André Silva, because he can score a goal out of nowhere. Ibrahimović would also be a great signing as he is still world class at his age and can continue for a couple of years, especially in the Serie A. The only problem is his salary in combination with his injury, which is the reason Man United decided to let him go. Other options could be Dolberg from Ajax or Gabriel Jesus from city, both are young and promising so they would fit in great at the Milan project.
