Portuguese youngster Rúben Neves is being heavily linked with a move to the San Siro reports Calcio Mercato. The midfielder is having an amazing season so far at Wolverhampton, which led to him attracting interest from top clubs across Europe such as AC Milan and Tottenham.

This season, Neves made 40 appearances for his club, starting in every one of them. He’s a key player in the squad who helped his club win the EFL Championship and get promoted to the Premier League. The 21-year-old has scored 6 goals for his club this season, despite constantly playing as a defensive midfielder. He is well known for his special ability of passing and long shots.

 

Milan is looking to buy such a player to replace or play alongside Lucas Biglia. The Argentine has been picking up a few injuries lately, with Montolivo being the only player that can play in his position. The Rossoneri are looking to bring another youngster to the squad that can compete at a high level, preferably someone that can play make and defend, like Biglia.

Neves has an 84.6 percent pass accuracy rate, not as good as Biglia, but might be able to improve in the coming seasons.

One man that can really help with this transfer is the agent of the player, Jorge Mendes. Currently, the agent of Andre Silva, the super agent has a great relationship with the Milan management. Although he is unhappy with the lack of playing time given to his client Silva, he is willing to help Milan this transfer window. The Wanderers are interested in Milan’s Andre Silva, which shows that a swap deal is possible between both sides.

The summer transfer window might not be as eventful as the last one for Milan, but they are trying to focus on bringing the youngest and most promising talents in Europe to grow at the club and help them to strong campaigns. AC Milan has one of the youngest teams in Serie A, the average age of the usual starting 11 being only around 24 years old.
