Montella: “Against La Samp we will have to attack the spaces, follow what we have been working on during training” AC Milan didnt have much time for training in the last weeks, due to their full agenda. However attack the spaces was one of the most important topcis.

AC Milan Coach Montella is looking forward to the clash tomorrow, like he said:
“I am very glad to be back at Genoa, playing against Sampdoria always excites me. It will be though and complicated game. Sampdoria are strong on the tactical level. We will have to be fast and well organized.”
Vincenzo also talked about Suso and his new position.
Montella: Suso played well last season as a winger but our goal is to reach the Champions League, so he has to score more. He will have more opportunities to score in his new position and will hopefully fit in quickly.”
Many people asked why Montella switches the player in every game, here is the easy solution from the coach.
Montella: “We play every 3 days and only few players can handle all the games without any problems. For this reason we will always have to change the lineup a little bit.”
At the moment its not clear who the new first penalty taker will be. Montella responded to this question.
Montella: “Its possible that Ricardo Rodriguez will be the first penalty taker, but thats not safe.”
One of the biggest topics of the last few weeks was the striker question. The coach also answered it with an easy solution.
Montella: ” All of our strikers will play this season, we will need everybody later in this season. Kalinic is the striker with the biggest experience but also the others will play. Im happy for André Silva because he is improving very fast and had a wonderful start for the Rossoneri. However he is still only 21 years old and need to adapt more to the league.
Last but not least Montella talked about the leaders of the new AC Milan, who are Lucas Biglia and Leonardo Bonucci.
Montella:“I expect a lot from Bonucci and Biglia, as I do from those who are more experienced. They are examples for everyone in this young team. In the game but also off the game they are great people, which others look at them. However I’m focused on all my players, not just them.”
