Chelsea defender David Luiz is not currently having his best time at Chelsea, mostly because of his sour relationship with coach Antonio Conte. He has not started 4 Premier League games as a result of his fallout with the manager. This has attracted the interest of many clubs such as Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, and AC Milan.

Luiz was a key defender in Chelsea’s Premier League title win last season, but it seems that this season he has been dropped for youngster Andreas Christensen. This season, Luiz has made 8 appearances for his club in the Premier League, he has scored 1 goal and has helped the team defensively. He has made 23 interceptions, he has won 45 duels, and has a pass success of 67 percent.

David Luiz has proven to be a top-class defender but is losing his playing time at Chelsea. A move for the Brazilian would probably help him get his form back. Real Madrid is thinking about preparing a January bid for the center back, Milan and Barcelona are keeping tabs on him and might go in for him in January. Conte said that he won’t sell Luiz without securing a replacement.

Milan could really use the help of a defender like Luiz. They have conceded 4 goals in their last 3 Serie A games, and are having many problems in the defense. Luiz could reinforce the defense and help Milan defensively and in the attack. Luiz is also a great attacker, having scored a goal in the Premier League and the Champions League. Milan is having a few financial problems but bringing in Luiz would surely help the team.

Chelsea should sell Luiz for multiple reasons. He is not on the best terms with the boss Antonio Conte, which will see him miss out on a lot of playing time. There is no point in paying 120 thousand pounds a week for a player that will stay on the bench. Chelsea owner is refusing to put a big amount of money in the club like most of the other top teams are doing, so selling Luiz can give him some finances that he can invest in the club with. Chelsea would probably be weakened if Luiz leaves, but they could get an equal or better replacement to fill his boots.

Milan Eyeing David Luiz.
