Happy New Year to everyone! After celebrating the derby win against Inter, and finishing the first-half of the season with a draw in Firenze. Gattuso’s men are ready to start freshly in 2018 against Crotone.
Fans had high hopes going into the match against ACF Fiorentina, many expected a win, but it was nothing like that. Milan looked rather clueless in the first half against Fiorentina, and La Viola made use of it after an error from Bonucci. However Gattuso subbed on Calhanoglu and Silva and they brough life in our attack, which lead to an equalizer after 3 minutes.
After hoping to a new year we hope to start off well against Crotone, who are in the 18th spot on the table. The side is struggling in the Serie A with 1 win in their last 5 matches (L/L/W/L/L) with a huge defeat against Lazio with 4-0.
Despite being in the 18th spot, Crotone are fighting against relegation and will put up a fight against Milan, who are struggling to find their form as well. With only 2 wins in their last 5 Serie A matches (W/W/L/L/D). After the draw against Fiorentina, our squad needs to turn things around and start the charge for the top 4.
In August Milan won 0-3 from Crotone (Kessié (P), Cutrone, Suso). Hopefully we will be able to replicate this form and defeat Crotone and take those 3 points.
Sky Italia claimed that Andre Silva was heading towards his first start in Serie A since November, however, it seems that has changed. La Gazzetta Dello Sport reports that Cutrone is the favourite to start, while Suso and Calhanoglu will start on the flanks.
Expected line-up AC Milan XI vs. Crotone (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Calabria, Bonucci, Romagnoli, Rodriguez; Kessie, Montolivo, Bonaventura; Suso, Cutrone, Calhanoglu.
The match begins 15:00 Italian time.
