It is nearly time for the January transfer window, and AC Milan needs to bring in and get rid of a few players to hopefully bring them form.

It is clear that AC Milan has a problem with their strikers. Silva still hasn’t scored a league goal and Kalinic is in a huge scoring drought. Cutrone has been decent but has still some problems. Milan should sell Portuguese Andre Silva in January. The striker can go for a good price in the transfer window, with many teams including Barcelona previously monitoring him. Silva joined AC Milan from Porto for a fee of 30 million euros. He was labeled as a wunderkind but has failed to prove his true value. Silva has been in poor form, but that doesn’t stop the interest of many huge clubs willing to make a bid for the 22-year-old.

The player that can make a huge impact on the attacking line is Kevin Volland. The German striker currently plays for Bayer Leverkusen and is 25 years old. He has proved himself as a great finisher, and as someone that any team can rely on. He currently has 9 goals in 16 Bundesliga appearances, with an average rating of 7.08. The young talent is a fast player and is a huge threat during counter attacks. He and Suso would be an amazing duo and would surely be scoring many goals to boost Milan.

Another player that should go is Lucas Biglia. The midfielder moved to Milan from Lazio for a fee of around 20 million euros and since has not proven himself. He is good at passing and moving the ball around, but is sloppy and has not met expectations. In a total of 12 appearances for Milan, he has not scored a goal or given an assist and has an average of 6.72 match rating. At 31, he is yet to make a major impact at Milan and has shown that he wasn’t worth the investment. The Argentine might not g for so much in the transfer window, but maybe Milan can make a bit of money from him to invest in another player.

To replace Biglia in the midfield, Milan should bring in current wunderkind, Julian Weigl. The 22-year-old midfielder currently plays for Borussia Dortmund and is highly rated among the footballing communities. He has joined Dortmund from 1860 Munich for a fee of 2.5 million euros in July 2015 and has won a Deutscher Pokal. He could play as a center mid and a defensive mid. He is an amazing passer with 88.3 percent passes success rate. He is currently valued at 30 million euros on the transfer market, it does seem likely that Dortmund won’t let him go for cheap.

Weigl is valued at 30+million euros.

AC Milan should sell 2 defenders, Luca Antonelli and Gustavo Gomez. Both rarely play and aren’t crucial players in the squad. Antonelli has played a total of 234 minutes for Milan this season and has only given 1 assist. At 30, it seems unlikely that his skill level will boost up. His current market value 3.5 million euros, but he might go for around 7 million to anyone willing to spend on a left back. Gomez is another defender that doesn’t play or make an impact on the team. The Paraguayan has only played a total of 10 minutes for Milan this season, selling him would bring Milan some funds and would free more space for other defenders. He has a market value of 4 million euros, he might go for a bit more. Brighton was interested in the defender and might make a bid for the center back.

Milan should bring in Brazilian center back Naldo. He is currently playing at Schalke and is a key player in the team. He can defend and score goals for the German side. At the age of 35, he has a lot of experience and can help any team. Milan has had many problems in the defense, and bringing in Naldo can help solve these problems and also help them score goals. Naldo has an average of 2.1 interceptions per game and has scored 3 goals in 17 appearances. His market value is 1.5 million euros, which is very affordable for Milan.
